Sanitary Bin Disposal Service

Sanitary Waste Regulations in the UK, sanitary waste disposal is governed by various legislation. The Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulation 1992 recommends that businesses provide all female toilets with a suitable method for disposing of sanitary waste.

Additionally, The Water Industries Act 1991 stipulates that no sanitary waste is to be flushed away as it can damage sewers and drains. Coupled with The Environmental Protection Act 1990, which imposes a Duty of Care on organisations that produce controlled waste including sanitary waste, it becomes clear that dealing with this waste requires proper facilities.

How our Sanitary Bin service works

All our hygiene units are serviced 4 weekly as standard (alternative schedules can be arranged to suit your requirements).

One of our trained professionals will arrive on site as per the agreed schedule.

The trained professional will discretely conduct a straight replacement of the unit, causing the minimum disruption to your business.

Every unit has a specially treated scented liner, to minimise any unpleasant odours, which is fully replaced each time we service.

Once the replacement of the unit has taken place, the waste is then taken away to be disposed of.

In addition to this, we also provide you with a free Duty of Care document, taking care of the legal requirements, which is another thing you won’t have to worry about.
